I took my test January 9th (Illinois), passed with 75 questions.
I only had less than 2 months worth of preparation, having a full time job at the same time. It was tough! I purchased UWorld 60-day plan w/ 1 assessment, and later on decided I wanted to have 2 assessments instead. Too bad UWord doesn't allow you to switch to the 90-day plan, instead, they added 1 more assessment to my pre-existing plan, so I still got the same 60-day worth of Qbank with 2 assessments.
These are the materials I used:
- Saunders NCLEX-RN (8th edition), read it cover to cover, yes because I needed to learn a lot of content.
- UWorld Qbank + 2 assessments (finished all the questions and really read through the rationales)
- Mark K audios (listened once), then went over my notes from his lecture about 3x.
- ReMar NCLEX Quick Facts (went through it about 2 days before my exam)
- Cram sheet from nursesLabs
My UWorld results:
- Assessment 1 (took it about 5 days before exam) - result: 69th percentile "very high" chance of passing
- Assessment 2 (took it 2 days before exam) - result: 44th percentile "high" chance of passing
My test was 8am of January 9th (Thursday), and Continental Testing Services already posted the result as of January 10th (Friday), when I checked around 6pm. It wasn't available on PearsonVue yet. I did the PVT trick, I got a "bad" popup. So it wasn't really accurate!
PearsonVue quick result was available Saturday morning.
Personally, I find NCLEX questions easy but the choices are very confusing, which to me, makes it hard. But if you know your content, you understand the disease processes, you'll find your way around it.
Thanks to this group for sharing your experiences, it helped me tremendously! I wish everyone of you the best of luck!!!
